ATTENTION TO ALL THAT HAVE BEEN BURNED BY DAWN TIL DUSK!!!
I just spoke w/ Det. Fano. He is building a case against this guy that he hopes will put him in jail for a couple of years and stop him from hurting innocent victims but HE NEEDS STATEMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He needs to put them all together as one case. Now, the original victim flew in from Ill and I admire her. To whoever you are -- I commend you!! Whatever anyone has against Dawn and/or Russ get in to the police station. If you call Det Fano in advance he will have a detective take your statement anytime between 7am and 12midnight M-F or Saturday. Come on-- let's work together |

Hey eveyone! Just wanted to give an update also. I was contacted on Friday of last week by the Attorney General's office in New Jersey. Because Dawn til Dusk is Incorporated in the state, they are opening a seperate investigation into their business practices. They requested my documentation so that they can possibly shut them down. Not only is Russ in jail still but it looks like eventually Dawn will be out of a job too!
Is there anyone who has not received a refund yet? |

I thought they would have been shut down with all of this. I was just contacted by yet another person who in AUGUST--AUGUST 2007 signed up and they took her money with nothing to offer. DeShawn....Do you have the contact info for the people that lost money? if you do you need to put them in contact with the Detective....if its true that people are getting refunds they should get in line...

The detective told me that Dawn's father refunded about $25k. Don't know if proof was shown, or if it's a tall tale that the detective happens to believe. This all took place before Dawn started to cooperate with police. The police also told them to STOP giving refunds. Not sure why, but I think I see logic in it. It may simply be "don't buy off your victims while we're investigating you".
DeShawn, get in touch with those students and tell them to file a complaint, and if it's a strong complaint, the police will ask those students to press charges. Tell them to talk to Detective Fano, as he's the lead on this. "EmElle"

I received a refund and the check cleared! Mine was the last one sent by Russ when he found out I planned on pressing charges though. Has anyone received a check from her dad? Or were they written on the business account? Does anyone know?

I can understand the reason why the police would not want anyone to get refunds because if the refunds were accepted it could endanger their case against them. But them, personally, I would want my money back. I still think that there would be grounds for something but they would be less. As for Dawn claiming not to have know anything I doubt if a jury would believe that. Even is abused she would know. Complaints to the office, etc. someone would have mentioned it to her. As for refunds, laws are different in different states.
In Texas she did not have to be a cosmetology school (as most states exempt mere makeup application as required licensed area.) However, she did need approval from the TEC to teach a career course which is what her website promotes even though she claims that she does not and only addresses makeup and motivation..and they are not registered with them. I know many of you may not understand this, but I hope they fight the cosmetology commissions move to prosecute if the law in NJ is worded as it was posted on another site. This is because, if the court finds them quilty it will mean that no one can apply makeup either in department stores, runways, commercials, TV, etc without a cosmetology license and we have been fighting this for a long time. You won't even be able to apply is as a demo if you receive compensation through sales commission as their wording is "directly or indirectly". Jeff |

I did talk to the police and my lawyer sent them my complaint however I have not heard anything since and have yet to receive a refund. The news report was really something. Dawn is so full of crap. She knew and she's completely guilty.

Been out of town and out of touch.
Any word on the slimeballs????? Is Russ still in jail? Hope he had a miserable Christmas. What about Dawn? I pray she doesn't just walk away from all this. She knows exactly what Russ was up to. I still believe she was the mastermind behind the whole thing. Abused wife, my ass....... If anything she probably abused him. Keep us posted if anyone hears anything????? |

bad news... It appears they are back at it... I have had 2 emails now from people that have found the ads recently and want to know what I think.

I just saw an anonymous post on craigslist that make-up classes are forming soon in northern NJ. Is it possible that Dawn is starting something else. Maybe I am just jumping to conclusions but still sounds really familiar. Does anyone know what is going on with refunds and Russ?

There is a DtD graduate that is starting classes next month. They sound a lot like DtD, and it's conceivable that Dawn is behind it, although the instructor is a different blonde.

I went to both sites and that is the same girl who took over instructing us last year at DTD when Dawn stepped out. Wow, I don't want to be a downer but 2500.00??? There are way better schools with longer programs if one wants to spend that kind of money. I really hope people don't get taken advantage of financially. I guess after my experience I am sort of skeptical.
