hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Looks like they just took the name....It appears Dawn is a stylist that also does mens grooming and is also an agent....thats pretty ambitious, getting an agency license is a full time job and takes some money. Had they donetheir research (as in one simple google search) they would have never taken on a name with such a bad reputation behind it....this makes me wonder how much homework did they do? did she bother to get a license? Hmmmm......

I think that Margina is right. Agency before school. And neither have anything to do with each other. But, I do know that the school intended on becoming an agency of sorts... but thankfully that never happened.

I've brought this up everytime it's been asked... The owner of D2D Agency worked as a top on-set stylist before forming her own highly reputable, boutique agency. Do not sully her reputation with speculation. *I* coined the phrase "Test Up" dagnabit!

i dont think her reputation was sullied. Its a fair question to ask...same exact name, Im suprised she didnt raise a real fuss when DTD took on her name...

ok, since it is a coinscidence and has no relation to the school. Maybe we should delete this thread?
It was just a question though, totally not intended to hurt anybody's reputation. I just saw the owned credited in the Vanity Fair for this month, so I just wanted to check it out. |

actually its a good idea to keep it up since it clears up that there is no connection.....most people will assume when you have 2 exact names that there is a connection....its a shame that they took the agency name but since they did and they are going to continue to do business with the same name you certainly want artists to know that the agency is NOT connected...

1) I didn't say anyone was intentionally trying to ruin Dawn's name. I'm just saying that this is how rumours get started...
2) They Do Not actually have the exact same name. Wack school = Dawn TIL Dusk (or Dusk TIL Dawn, since they'll respond to either...) Reputable Agency = Dawn TO Dusk Agency, hence the nickname D2D So hopefully this clears things up for folks... - Tania  *I* coined the phrase "Test Up" dagnabit!

Unfortunately Tania, people do refer to Dawn TIL Dusk by the same name as the agency... people on this board, even. And that makes this even more confusing, because people really think that's their name. And people use the same abbreviation to refer to the school as well.

Right and that's why I'm correcting folks, because their names aren't exactly the same, people just *refer* to them as such. Given everything that y'all have said about the school and the folks who run it, it's not at all difficult to believe they picked a name that sounded similar to an existing, legitimate business in the industry in order to create this kind of confusion.
