I have tried a number of drugstore brands, including higher priced brands like Tigi Hard Head (which has a fairly nice non-sticky texture) but none of them have the instant hold for my crazier do's. They are all either not strong enough, overly sticky, or simply too wet and take too long to dry. I'm happy to spend on a higher end product if I know where to start.
I'm looking for a spray that can defy gravity in one or two passes as opposed to having to re-apply 10 layers until it finally holds, by which time it can lose it's weightless look.
I try not to soak the hair or clump it, so I spray from the usual 10" or so, and I prefer aerosol as it layers more lightly.
Not really looking for a miracle, but just the best option out there.
