I'd have to agree with Dee here.

To each his/her own. Where do you draw the line? That's different for everyone, and who's to say how much is too much?

My SO thinks it's ok if a woman has acrylic nails, but not hair extentions. Go figure.
But the fact that certain techniques are available, doesn't mean you should always make use of them.

On another note.. this tape thread reminded me of a product by (I think) Mary Cohr. Small banana shaped tapes with a textured surface, for lifting the eye. The texture gave it "grip" for eyeshadows.
It was supposed to be good for people with sagging upper eyelids, who wanted to put off surgery for a while longer. We got requests from numerous people to use them, with varying results. When done correctly it gave the eye a fresher look, but it didn't work well for all eye shapes.

Suffice it to say this "trend" didn't last very long. I didn't mind using them when doing makeup, same as I wouldn't mind using hair extentions or say, "cupsize enhancers".
If it makes you happy...
