Thanks Love , I think part of the problem I am having with all this is , it use to be , they dont get a thing unless they book and bill the client , it seems more so now that alot of agencgies are wanting a percentage of everything , So as Mary said , all those clients and relationships built up over years , they are wanting a cut from ,,,,,,, is a bit irratating , I did have a seperate percentage they got if they booked and billed , but im sick of handing out money for work and clients they didnt do a thing to earn , not book or bill , so thats part of my problem , and im wondering if I need an attitude adjustment , if if this is really in fact becoming the new standard .........And its also true if you wanna book the major campains , you need an agent becouse there is still that thing where if your repped , you must be good and if your not ....theres a problem , so is it worth it ?............I dont know .........after my first agent passed away , it seems like every year im going from one agency to another , a bit disheartend and tired of the same song and dance or I just need to find an ole school agent that only asks for a percentage of what THEY do my biggest clients have been booked through photographers I know and not agents...however my best editorials have been through agents (very little money was made, about $400.00 day) ... My biggest money jobs have been on my own and I kept every penny. My biggest clients would not go through my agent (when asked) because my agent at the time wanted a cut from me and from them....my largest clients were not willing to play that game with so many artists on the streets that they knew were good that they could book on their own.I was not willing to send my clients to an agency with artists in direct competition with me unless the agent could in turn keep my working 3 days a week at full rate and they couldn't do that. Maybe the major players like Celestine can keep an artist working full time but something tells me thats not the case
