I just could not see handing clients I had worked so hard for over....I had plenty of work without them so I figured "why"? On the other hand major work goes through major agencies and you may never get it if you are not with a great agency.... a little agency or B agency isn't going to help much in my opinion... there are bad agencies out there that owe artists money, get artists to work free while they get paid...trust me, you have to be very careful about the agency you pick.Keep in mind, with the new economy agents are not getting for artists what they did years ago... I won't work for what most of them are getting artists right now, it's sad. I suppose the top agencies are still doing ok but I did just run into a hairstylist from the REX agency that was looking to test for free....he was bored, nothing paying had come in for a while.
