Well Anthony is in a slightly different position given he is a very senior artist bringing serious clients to the agency AND they are asking for him back.

Every agency I've been with wanted a percentage of everything. Only my first agency charged me one rate if they brought the client and another if I brought the client and when I sign again I'm going to shoot for that because at this point I'm bringing more and higher quality clients than I did with my first agent. Either that or I'm going to shoot for a measure of non-exclusivity or I want to see Material Results from being signed. I don't need to be signed just to say I am anymore (as you obviously don't), so if they aren't bringing anything to the table then I'd just as soon pass.

If they are wanting you to be exclusive, I would think you'd have a lot of wiggle room in this instance, Anthony. It would seem you would be able to negotiate a full agency fee for clients they bring to you, but a reduced fee (say 10% or 15%) for clients you bring to them. Fixed expenses like the website fee you probably can't do anything about (but ask, might as well try ), etc. But it would seem like the main thing you'd want to know is what are they going to do differently from last time to benefit the both of you (the agency and you).

best of luck! hope it works out for you!
